Gift basket delivery on the Kenai Peninsula: where I go and what it costs

I build every basket at my house in Sterling and deliver it myself. Here's where I go, what each trip costs, how far each drive is, and how to plan a delivery in the dark months.

Every basket I make gets wrapped in clear cellophane with a big bow and handed over by me, not a courier. That keeps the bow in one piece and lets me send you a photo when it lands. Here's how delivery works from Sterling.

Road miles are approximate, worked out from Sterling Highway and Kenai Spur Highway mileposts in The Milepost (Sterling sits at Mile 81 of the Sterling Highway). Populations are 2020 Census counts published by the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Delivery fees are current as of October 2026.

Farther out, like Homer or Anchorage? That's not a regular run for me, but message me and I'll see what I can do.

How to order a delivery

  1. Pick a ready-made basket on the gift baskets page and tap Order now.
  2. At checkout, choose your delivery town or free pickup, then fill in the date it should land, a card message and any allergies or scents to avoid.
  3. Pay securely through Stripe. Payment works from anywhere in the US, so you can order from out of state or from camp.
  4. I text you within a day to confirm the details, then deliver it by hand and send you a photo.

Want something built from scratch instead? The Gift Helper asks six quick questions, and I send back a plan and a quote before you pay anything.

If a basket is going to a doorstep, tell me when someone will be home so it isn't sitting out in the cold. For a workplace, give me the hours they're open.

Winter roads can slow a long run to Cooper Landing or Ninilchik. The state's Alaska 511 site has current road conditions, and you can dial 511 from inside Alaska. For a winter birthday, an extra day of cushion never hurts.

What to tell me when you order

  • The date it should land, and whether that date is flexible
  • Home or workplace, and when someone will be there
  • Your card message. Every gift comes with one of my art cards, and I write your note by hand
  • Any allergies or scents to avoid, since candles, lotion and lip balm often go in
